Ezra’s widow relocated to Canada where she died years later. Benoni moved to Linn Co., IA with his wife Sarah Allen. Elizabeth also moved to Linn Co., IA where she married Edward Millis Crow and taught the first school in the county. Ezra F. moved to Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties, where he married Amanda Rathbone.

He was one of 13 children born to William Bennett and Susan (nee Ross) who emigrated to Canada in the early 1900's. William jr. married a lady called Helen. I believe that they emigrated to the USA and had 9-11 children. I think the eldest child was called Margaret and I believe she married Harry Coull who lived in Pasadena California. Another daughter named Nessy lived in Detroit and I think she had 9 children. Some of the other children of Wm. and Helen were William, Helen, Peter and Nancy. Nancy may have also lived in Detroit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bennett, 76 MUNCIE - Robert Eugene Bennett, 76, Muncie, passed away Monday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 25, 1927, in Muncie and was a lifetime resident. Mr. Bennett graduated from Muncie Central High School. He was employed at Chevrolet of Muncie for 30 years and was the general superintendent before retiring. Mr. Bennett was a member of Sound the Alarm Church. He was a proud Navy veteran who served in Okinawa during World War II. Survivors include wife loving wife of 55 years, Vetchell Criswell Bennett; two daughters, Lynda Stoner (husband: Earl), Muncie, and Vicki Duncan (husband: Walter), Muncie; a son, John Bennett, Noblesville; six grandchildren, Shawn Stoner (wife: Anne Marie) Winnetka, Calif., Christina Norman (husband: Casey) Muncie, Susanne Hanks (husband: Cbristopher), Muncie, Justin Duncan (wife: Shannon), Muncie, and Jeremy Duncan (wife: Brandy), Farmland; and six great-grandchildren, Emmett Robert Stoner, Riley Stoner, Lauren Hanks, Madeline Hanks, Hunter Dorgan and Hannah Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley McCormack; and a brother, Max Bennett. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Ray Landes officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. My mother was Joyce Adaline Bennett her father was Lawrence Lyman Bennett he died in caribou ME in 1995 his father was Lyman Bennett. Lyman was the son of Robert Goodman Bennett who was born in SOmerset ME in 1846 Roberts father was Samuel Bennett who married Harriet from NH. Lawrence was remarried to a Bertha, maybe,after his divorce from Nora St Pierre. I believe he may have a son named Stephan. I am not sure about all of this. I would love to find these lost relatives as my mother passed when I was young and I would like to meet her family.
