Looking for information on Gaul (or any spelling variation of his given name) Bennett born in West Virginia. Assuming in Hampshire or Mineral Counties. He married Daisy Casteel and lived in Cumberland, Md by the 1930's. I have no infomation on Gaul or Daisy's birth dates. They had several sons. Gerald, Charles and Robert were three of them. Gaul was buried in a cemetery off the Old Furnace Road in Short Gap (Mineral Co). I have been told that there are two cemeteries on the Old Furnace Road and that he was not burried in the Abe Cemetery. Does anyone know the name or location of the second cemetery? If anyone can help put the pieces together, I would appreciate all the help received. - Carolyn Frantz
? Was Crittenden made from Grant Co? Josephine Bennett & GW Jones are in Dycusburg, which is in Crittenden Co. The courthouse is in Marion, the county seat for Crittenden Co. Ky. I was there a few years ago, but found nothing except for their graves in the cemetery. Does anyone have any information on William Bennett, son of Seth W. & Margaret (Cheek) Bennett? They lived in Marshall Co, TN, in 1850; Seth later moved his family to Weakley Co, TN, but I haven't been able to find anyone with anymore information on William than his birth year--1846. I can't find any more information about Nancy or her 2 girls, they are part of my Husband's family and I would very much like to know what happened to them. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Anna May BENNETT which was taken at the Tollman Studio in Vancouver, Washington. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Anna likely in her 20's at the time it was taken. In addition to her name, someone has written "Gladys Mother's sister" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I believe that this may be a photograph of Annie May BENNETT b. 25 Apr 1885 in Hillsboro, Oregon to parents Silas BENNETT and Sophia HILLER. Annie first married Robert Garibaldi SHAND on 25 Sept 1915 in Clark Co., WA. Annie appears to have married two more times, her second marriage to W. R. GOODING, and her third to Wellington NOLAN. Annie died 23 Jan 1954 in Portland, OR and is buried there. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family.
