I have looked at the IGI and the only brothers Joseph and Benjamin I can find were born to John Bennet and Maria and they were both baptised on the same day - 27 October 1805. Is this the same information as you have found? I had recorded Benjamin as being born in 1809 but this was only from ages on the 1841 and 1851 census - and this isn't always accurate. Maggie

Children Stephen, Winthrop, and possibly James, were still found in Moultonborough or Tamworth in the mid 1800s. Son William moved to Maine, whence came his mother Martha.

He married Clarissa Olds in OH, moved to Baraboo, WI in the late 1840s. They had a son Albert (named for his uncle) and 2 daughters (one of which married a Rev John Gillem) John appears to have been prominent and prosperous landowner in the area. His wife Clarissa was the sister of Cordelia, wife of Amos Norton (son of David Norton), also of Baraboo. He mentions his father in his biogrophy, identifying him as serving in the Army of NY in the War of 1812. I haven't been able to verify this info. I would like to hear from anyone that has a connection with this family.

They had 2 boys (David and Frank), settled in Sauk Co WI, and he died in 1859. Mary Ann remarried quickly to a Prentiss/Prentice, had 2 daughters, and died abt 1873. The boys inherited $50 from their grandfather Loniel Bennett in Dec 1879. It appears that they may have settled in Iowa. Albert's siblings were John H, Ira, Dr LL/Loniel/Lionel, and Margaret. Albert is buried in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo, WI next to his wife, his inlaws, and her family. Does anyone have any info about Albert's death? It appears that a number of the family died 1854-1859. Does anyone have info on his sons?
