I Robert Bennett of Northbridge in the County of Worcester and Commonwealth of Massachusetts being of a sound disposing mind and recollecting the mortality of my body do make this my last will and testament. My worldly estate I dispose of in the following manner. First I give unto my son Rufus Bennett all my real estate with all the buildings thereon standing except my half of the farm which I have purchased of Jacob Hill. I also give him all my farming utensils of every kind. I also give him all my wearing apparel, cloaks and boots. Item I give unto my daughter Amy Sweet, the widow of John Sweet deceased, three hundred dollars to be paid within two years after my decease and if not then paid to be on interest till paid. I also give her one third of all my indoor movables. Item I give unto my daughter Anna Aldrich, the wife of Major Lyman Aldrich, three hundred dollars to be paid within two years after my decease and if not then paid to be on interest till paid. I also give her one third of all my indoor movables. Item I give to my daughter Abigail Taft, the wife of Zadoch Taft, three hundred dollars to be paid within two years after my decease and if not then paid to be on interest till paid. I also give her one third of all my indoor movables. Item I give unto my grandson Robert B Bennett my half of the farm which I bought of Jacob Hill to come into possession of it at my decease, his father Rufus Bennett have the use and income of it till that time. The said Robert B Bennett is to pay Robert Bennett Sweet ten dollars when he comes in possession of the aforesaid legacy. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Rufus Bennett sole executor of this my last will and testament and I do order him to pay all my just debts and my funeral charges and he is to secure all my debt on note or books account to pay all my bequests and to see that this my last will and testament is carefully and faithfully executed. My 4th great grandfather's name was John Bennett, born 1735 in Northern Ireland.......migrated to Maryland, married a young lady and they had about 6 children, he then married a Mary Icyphenny Plummer and they had atleast 9 children.
