Hi again, Sorry I wasn't very specific in my last post asking for help on Silas Bennett. I typed it and sent it in a hurry, as I was on my way out. I have been looking for the parents of Eli BENNETT (bc1820) who married Jimima CORRICK (b1820). They were married in 1840 and had my gggrandmother America Jane BENNETT in 1853 in Davis Co., IO. I had posted a query on GenForum and got an answer yesterday by someone claiming to have Eli's parents. She wrote me telling me that he was the son of Silas BENNETT and Lucinda WINES. I think she must have typed dates wrong, because she has Eli's birthday and death date in the same year. So....I don't have any dates. This is what I do have: Silas BENNETT married Lucinda WINES in 1818, Harrison Co., VA. Their children: Silas, Jane, Eli, Thomas, John, James Westly, Charlotte, Lucinda, Elizabeth and MaryAnn.
