Dear Mr Chuck Van den Eeden, Sorry for the mistake. It is Pierre Sommereyns who died the 01/03/2008. He was the father of Joseph. It is possible that the stepfather,Mr Hegardt, give his name to Joseph, but I'm not sure. Mr Pierre Sommereyns never told us about a son. I have been trying to find the ship and date my grandmother came to the US. Her name was Suzanne-Lucie Stiren from Hondelange, Belgium. She went by Lucy in the US. d.o.b. 13, Dec, 1889. I found on the 1930 census she came 1915 that's all I came up with. Her parents were Nicolas Stiren and Madeleine Hornick from Hondelange, Belgium.
