TN I am researching my Hale side from Tennessee but I don't know which county. I have been told around the Coumberland Gap. My hale was Joseph Carroll Hale and he moved to Faulkner County Arkansas because he is listed on the 1880 Census. He died in 1903. All I know is that he said his mother was from Ireland. Where are your Hale's from? Soni. I also have Belcher's but they were from Georgia, and Mississippi.
