    3. In direct response to your question, Richard's parents were Isham Belcher b. 1732, and Elizabeth Clay b. 1734. I had a list of at least some of his siblings, but someone (not me, surely!) used it as a coaster and it's not really readable. There was an Isham B. II, b 1869 m. Martha Patsy Hodges in 1791. Isham/Isom is pretty well researched. Most of the info I have I've gotten from this web site: http://genforum.genealogy.com/belcher/ Please understand I haven't verified this info myself; and what is here I've just kind of condensed. Richard, John, and Thomas were used as names a lot. (1)Richard Belcher, b. 1766 Amelia Co. My dad's the real genealogist in the family, and he has all this stuff on his computer; me, I just cut'n'paste... Judy Smith wrote: > Marilou Groves wrote that she is a decendant of Richard Belcher. I've been surfing the net trying to confirm the info for my data base. I did find that in the Angelfire posting they have Moses b. 1811 and Bartley b. 1816 as WFB's when they are actually Isham Jr. and Nancy Blankenships's children. I have Richard and Usley/Ursula Hastin/Hastings as having eight children: Prudence; Issac; Isham; Sutton; Rebecca; Thomas; Elizabeth; and John. Then married Martha Talley and had six children: Lively; Martha; WILLIAM; Ulsey; Jacob; and Richard. This would make Richard's William too old to be WFB. Did find one connection that said Richard and Usley had six children, so I may have two too many or they didn't have them all. It would sure be simplified if WFB was Richard's son, but I have my doubts. Hope you have lots of reponses to your posting. Joanne
