Hi Rickie, I looked and looked, but don't see a match. I'm searching possibilities by the process of elimination by using census records and such. There are a lot of records on the Library of VA site. I will be in Petersburg this winter, and hope to do some hands on research. I found the marriage record for Henry M. BELCHER last night at Ancestry.com. It shows his mother as Mary. I'm wondering is Suenese (as shown in his will) was a nickname for Mary, or if John BELCHER had a second wife. I have never seen any given name similar to Suenese. Time will tell. Thank you for your help.
