Hi, I have nothing definite, but maybe a clue. 1850 Lawrence Co OH has several Belchers, the oldest being Jesse Belcher 80 bn Va. He is most likely the Jesse Belcher who was in early Russell Co, VA records. Others are: Freelove 26, Henry 70, Henry 30, William 50, William 29. Maybe someone on the list could enlighten us about these Belchers. I am also looking for a Belcher family to "attach to". My earliest proven Belcher is William Belcher bn 1830 Pike Co KY. He is in Russell/Wise Co VA records. After his death his family moved to Wayne Co WV which is just across the Ohio & Big Sandy Rivers from Lawrence Co OH and Lawrence Co KY.
