Will the real Isham Belcher please stand up? Can anyone identify which one of the many Isham Belchers was in Green County, KY in the early 1800s. There is a marriage bond listed in Green County, KY for Belcher, Isham and Betsy McDaniel, Sept. 14, 1808...consent of John McDaniel. [Betsy McDaniel, wts. to his note.] Was this the Isham Belcher that came over the mountain written about in "Over the Mountain Men"? Was this Isham Belcher one of the long hunters that came into KY with the Skaggs party? Did this Isham stay in KY, return to VA, or move westward? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks, Juanita
