I have a couple of connections to the Belcher line: James Dillion Jr. (1771-1835) married Martha Belcher (1773-?) 2 Feb 1789 Franklin Co. VA Elizabeth Dillion (d/o James & Martha) married Jesse Belcher (Isham & Martha Hodges) Dec 1818 Tazewell Co, VA Paris Dillion (s/o Mastin & Margaret Neely) married Sarah Belcher (Paris is the grandson of James & Martha and nephew of Elizabeth) The 1860 McDowell County (WV) census lists: Paris 18 Margaret 23 Belsky, Jesse 66 Belsky, Elizabeth 70 It has been suggested that "Belsky" is actually "Belcher". Could it be that Sarah Belcher is the daughter of Jesse & Elizabeth? Paris and Sarah are my g-great grandparents through their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Dillion. She married John Alfred Racer in Putnam Co, WV in 1887. Cathy
