I've had several contacts with various researchers and they all seem to have conflicting information. The children you have listed for Levi and Elizabeth LASLEY can't be right as they were m. 2-12-1884 MCVA That is exactly when they were married but were living together prior to 1860. Elizabeth Lasley is living with Levi in the Montgomery Co. Va. Census 1860. He was still technically married to Nancy Ann Newman because she never gave him a divorce and so Levi married Elizabeth (finally) after Nancy died. Levi and Elizabeth had a son named Henry Edmundson Beckelhimer in the 1860 census also. (I've seen the marriage license), his third wife and at 70 years of age. His first wife is believed to be Artissima FERGUSON m. abt. 1830 with whom he had 5 children. This is correct although there's never been a marriage found for them she signed her mark as a witness to the land transaction between Jacob and his son Levi Beckelhimer. The children you listed are by his second wife Nancy Ann NEWMAN m. 2-13-1841 MCVA.
