I concur with "no off topic messages". It is very difficult to control these things. Further, the site is for Family History. Jokes and that type of thing are certainly all right, but the political type things are almost guarenteed to annoy the majority of the people. It is the same with religion. I see no point at all in doing this. I am prettty conservative policically but we are bound to stir up a hornet's next when we start doing this. There are so many opinons about the matter that I think it simply best to ask they they not use the mailing list to do this. If someone wants to receive this type of informatin, there are plenty of ways to put out buddy lists and that type of thing. I read and I think. I have my own opinions and I frankly do not wish to have anything sent to me that I do not want. I have had my name taken off direct mailing lists because of unwanted mail. It is really too close to an invasion of privacy. Remember the old adage 'A zealot is genrally humorless". I am certainly willing to go along with whatever you as the list owner decide and will continue to delete as and where necesary. It just seems to me that our avowed purpose and that which unites us is love of our complex, varied and dispursed family - We do not need elements that would tend to divide us up in "camps". Thanks for all that you do. I am grateful beyond words. Cousin David in El Paso
