John On Joel & Mary' s marriage, it only indicates she was a widow. In looking at CLERMONT MARRIAGES 1800-1850 I found the following....but can't say it is Mary's husband...only a guess Mark Whitaker to Mary Prickett Dec 17, 1816 by James Wood, JP According to the cemetery records, Mary was born in 1801. She would have been pretty young to marry, but then they did in those days. Unfortunately, these records in the books, don't indicate too much, and this book particularly, only gave marriages. When Mary married Joel in 1851, she was 50 years old. If she married the 1st time at 15-16, then we have the right one. This is purely a guess. I did check in Cemetery records and found no burial for Mark Whitaker. Sallye
