Twila: I have added the birth and death years below. As far as an interesting fact, family legend (unverified) has it that John Jay Lower, who married Elizabeth Beckelshymer, was a descendant of John Jay, the first Supreme Court Justice of the United States. John Lower's father (Peter) and grandfather (Michael) were some of the earliest residents of Clermont County, OH, having purchased land there adjacent to the Beckelshymers from Nathaniel Lucas in 1806. Michael and two of his sons sold their land in 1809 and left for parts unknown. Peter apparently drowned himself in the Ohio River in a fit of insanity according to Evert's History of Clermont County, Ohio. BTW: Nathaniel Lucas (who resided in Montgomery County, VA, probably near the Beckelshymers) received a very large land grant in Clermont County, Ohio from the United States of America for his service in the Revolutionary War. Some of this land was sold to Michael Lower as well as to several of the Beckelshymer brothers who left Virginia for Ohio circa 1805 (Joseph, John, Jr, Samuel and Nathaniel) I think this is a good idea you had to collect this roster information. What do you say if I post the finished product to the new Behymer web site, so other researchers will know whom to contact? ---------- > From: Veysey <veysey@coos.or.us> > To: John Tippet <johndoetippet@csi.com> > Subject: Roster Entry > Date: Friday, September 25, 1998 8:37 PM > > John: > > Do you have any birth and death years?
