Sallye: John Wayne and John Walter make a pretty good argument in their book: The Picklesimers of Eastern Kentucky that John, Jr's mother was Sophia Slingluff and not Elizabeth Rinker. Thus, John, Jr would be a half-brother to the other 9 (or so) Behymers who migrated from Virginia to Clermont, Ohio. Just my two cents worth...
