John and John: first I appologize for using Behymer, but I am lazy, just like the court scribes back in the late 1700s. You will notice that Abraham Adam and David don't show up in the descendancy narrative that I have posted in my initial release to the web. This is because, as you know, their parents haven't been conclusively identified, although, I believe in reading your book, that you feel certain that they descend from one of the early Virginia Behymer lines. I have 4 males identified that are likely sons of Elder John: John, Sr, Abraham, Sr Jacob, Sr and George. There seems to be ample evidence that John, Sr is not the father. Abraham, Sr had a probable son, Abraham, Jr who lived to maturity - it seems unlikely that he would have given two of his sons the same first name, Abraham - that leaves Jacob and George. I have nothing on the children of George (I only have what you two have gathered in a set of notes that was E-mailed to me). In any event, it doesn't appear from what I have seen, that George resided in Virgina. That leaves Jacob. Isn't he the most likely candidate as Abraham and David's father? As Sherlock Holmes said "When you eliminate the impossible, that which remains, however improbable, must be the truth!" I would like to propose that we add Abraham Adam and David, the progenitors of the Eastern Kentucky Behymers, and connect them to their most likely parents. To make it clear that this is circumstantial evidence, we could add the appropriate disclaimers, notes etc. That way we could at least tie in the connection of these two lines. What do you think? BTW: I haven't checked this yet, but if we have enough data regarding the dates of birth of the children of Abraham, Sr, Jacob, Sr (and George), we might also be able to rule out one or more of these as the father.
