Well, perhaps I was a little "insistent" about a mailing list, but I was experienced with them, and it was just what this bunch needed. Granted, the fact that MAISER collapsed barely a week after we got started cast a shadow on my judgement, but I think y'all will agree that this mailing list has kept us in touch, and has advanced Behymer research. Fortunately, I kept all the e-mail addresses of the original group, which sure came in handy when Rootsweb crashed last week (more about that in the next message). And amazingly, from that nearly two-year-old list of e-mail addresses, all of them were still current save one! (Lori Johnson's address was the only one that "bounced". We still haven't found her. Twila, do you still have her snail-mail address?) Twila gives me too much credit for our genesis. Yes, I suggested the mailing list, but Twila found the majority of the folks who were the "charter" members, and most of them are still here. She published the list of members, their Behymer connections, and helped us all get to know one another and become friends. Jen, bless her heart, agreed to take on the task of Mailing list manager, a duty I should have shouldered but just couldn't at the time. She also created and maintains the original Behymer web page. Deanna, Kathy, Lori, John W., Rob, BillyBob (and others that won't come to this muddled mind at 2 a.m.) were the meat in what is now this "mulligan stew" of B'hymer/P'hymer descendants. (Sorry 'bout the Irish metaphor, but I couldn't think of the German/Dutch equivalent. I am, first and foremost, a son of Auld Sod). Twila, has it really been two years? Wow! Time flies when you're having fun. Regards to all. Keep in touch. Tom Tom Robison Ossian, Indiana tcrobi@adamswells.com Never forget the importance of history.
