    3. I received 3 packages in the mail from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) recently. They include the pension records for: Martin Behymer, Samuel Beckett and Isaac Picklehymer. Isaac Picklehymer is mentioned in John Wayne and John Walter Picklesimers' book. He married Polly Hopkins 11 Oct 1814 in Lincoln County, KY (Henry Picklehimer, his father, signed the marriage bond). He served as a private in Captain Richardson's Company of KY Militia. He enlisted 25 Aug 1814 and was discharged 1 Nov 1814. In 1871, his widow was living in Jefferson County, KS. She was born circa 1792. She was living in Clay County, MO in 1855, Winchester, Jefferson County, KS in 1871, and she died circa 4 Sep 1882. Isaac died 7 Apr 1855 in Ray County, MO. Isaac received bounty land for his service to the United States. One of Isaac and Polly's daughters was Mary Picklehymer who married Thomas Gardner. They lived in Winchester, Jefferson County, KS. Samuel Beckett served as a private in Captain William Currin's VA Militia. He enlisted 13 Feb 1815 (he was drafted in Montgomery County, VA) and was discharged on 28 Feb 1815. He married Amy Fitzpatrick on 12 Jul 1818 in Clermont County, OH. He died on 27 Jun 1880 at Nine Mile, Clermont County, OH and was buried at the Amelia IOOF Cemetery. He was born circa 1794. Peter Robb and Thomas Littleton signed as witnesses on his behalf in 1855. Benjamin Beckett (b. circa 1829 and residing near Amelia, Clermont County, OH in 1881) and Solomon Beckett (b. circa 1822 and residing near Brazier, Clermont County, OH in 1881) also signed as witnesses. Martin Behymer served as a private in Captain Robert Haines' Company of OH MIlitia. He enlisted 29 Jul 1813 and was discharged on 13 Aug 1813. He married first Lucinda Beagle who died a short time after they were married. He married second Elizabeth Lindsay on 11 May 1827 in Clermont County, OH. He died on 19 Jul 1881 at Carthage, Campbell County, KY. He was born circa 1795 in Franklin County, VA. He was living in Carthage, Campbell County, KY in 1878. He was a millwright and a framer of buildings. His wife, Elizabeth Lindsay, was born circa 1804. She was living in Carthage, KY in 1881. William L. Behymer was the youngest child of Martin and Elizabeth Behymer, and he was born on 8 Jan 1840. He had one brother and two sisters: Leroy Behymer (b. circa 1831) and living in Howell County, MO in 1881, Nancy Carr (b. circa 1826). also living in Howell County, MO in 1881, and Hester Henderson (b. circa 1829 and died before 1881).
