Fellow Behymers: I have been going over all the information I have on the descendants of Solomon Behymer, in preparation for my next web page update. In the process, I have come across a few bits of conflicting information that I am hoping members of this list can help me sort out. They are the following: (1) Solomon's birth date: 10 Dec 1781 or 21 Oct 1782? Mary B Webb, Solomon's wife: where does the middle initial "B" come from? (2) Samuel P. Behymer (Solomon's son): born 4 Dec 1809 or 24 Dec 1809? died: 9 Apr 1887 or 9 Jul 1887? Also where does the middle initial "P" come from? Sarah Ward, Samuel P's wife died 13 Jun 1882 or 15 Jun 1882? (3) John Behymer (Solomon's son): born 11 Oct 1811 or 27 Oct 1811? (4) William Behymer's (Solomon's son) wife, Martha Littleton, died on 1 Mar 1914 or 3 Mar 1914? William and Martha's son, Seeley: did he die in infancy circa 1847 and was buried in Mt Moriah Cemetery or did he live to maturity and marry Catherine Elwood on 23 Oct 1870 in Grant County, IN? If the later, why no mention of him in the article on John O Behymer from the Biographical and Genealogical History of Cass, Miami, Howard and Tipton Counties, Indiana published in 1898? Was he born on the same day, 11 Mar 1847, and was a twin to his sister, Mary Jane Behymer? (5) Bertha Behymer, daughter of William W Behymer and Matilda J Martin: was she buried in the Mt Moriah Cemetery or the Olive Branch Cemetery. Are these two cemeteries one and the same? (6) Daniel (Solomon's son): is he the one who shows up in the 1 Oct 1850 census in Ohio township, Clermont County, OH, p. 825 as age 45, listed as a laborer in the household of John and Nancy (Behymer) Swem? (Note that Nancy was the daughter of Nathaniel Behymer and Diadama Manning). John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com
