    3. Clifford: There is speculation/confusion over whether the John Beckelhymer, Jr who married Charity Harger in Franklin County, VA circa Sep 7, 1803 was the son of the John Beckelhymer who married Barbara Weddle and who died in Clermont County, OH in 1812 or whether the John Beckleshymer, with wife Anna, who lived in Fulton County, IL was the son of John and Barbara. I have even heard speculation that Charity and Anna were one and the same person, i.e., Charity Anna Harger. Have you found any courthouse records in PA for the marriage of John and Anna Henry? Also, where did the info about the old bible come from? Is it still in existence? Was the LDS group sheet you mentioned, one of the ones the LDS Church used to keep years ago in those big black binders (I haven't seen any entry in the ancestry files)? The John who was the son of John and Barbara was known to have served in the War of 1812 in Captain Haines mounted volunteers and his widow is supposed to have applied for a pension, receiving bounty land in return for her husband's service. I plan on trying to find these records at the National Archives when next I am in Washington, DC (where my mother-in-law lives) Regarding your Charles Behymer, I just ordered some microfilms from the LDS Church that contain the chancery court records for Fulton County, IL. One interesting item I found was the following: Charles, Diantha, Hezekiah, Charlotte and Lewis are listed as children and heirs of Charles Behymer, late of IN deceased and still residing there in the settlement of the estate of John Behymer circa 1850. I have received a large number of family group sheets on the John Behymer who settled in Fulton County, IL and his descendants from Sallye Gundy who has done an extraordinary amount of research on the Behymers over the years. She and I are both quite active on the Behymer mailing list. You should re-subscribe to the list as there is quite often some interesting data that comes across. With her permission, I could forward some of these to you, if you provide me your address. You should also check out the new Behymer web page that I created (I just posted an update today). Point your browser to http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohnDoeTippet/ I am hoping that this can be used as the single repository of the generally-accepted version of the Behymer genealogy. Of course, for this to happen, I need a lot of inputs/comments from the members of the mailing list. Comments? John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com ---------- > From: Clifford C.
