Dear Cousin Twyla, Thank you for your appropriate, professional and timely comments about the list. I thought they were very well stated and give everyone the option to select the areas in which they wish to participate without offense. Net lists are not like writing letters. With everything going to everyone, feelings (always the most important aspect of our lives) must be respected. Some years ago, fresh on the Internet, I received a copy of a message from a long time researcher (of another line) and, in my naivete, sent an information request out to the addresses she had listed. I have never heard the end of it and, to this day, she is offended about the matter since many people on the list were other line's relatives. Although I am certain that, by this time, it is she who has a harder heart, I would rather not have offended, even unintentionally. This list is one of the best and most professional that I have seen. Great people and, although I am working very hard on other lines at the moment, soon I will be asking for ged.com files and information to begin plugging away the data on my PC. Thank you all for your interest and enthusiasm. My relationships here are about to stretch to the 10th cousin line I have in another family where our common ancestor is 12 generations back (give or take a few, I loose count after I run out of fingers. Taking off you shoes at work is pushing the issue a bit). In the meantime, relative-wise, just a reminder that there must be someone out there who is working the "Simer" line as I am. My descendants are: Abraham Adam Pickleshimer Samuel Pickleshimer Lewis Preston Simer (b. KY 1832 née Pickleshimer) Sarah Catherine Simer Bertie (yep, that's all I have on her name, I assumed Bertha but cannot find) Burks Carl Self Genie Ve Orene Self David M. Newlin Thank you all so much. Cousin David in El Paso
