Following, is the will of John Harger that I transcribed from a microfilm of the Franklin County, VA probate records. It is important to Behymer researchers in that it provides pretty conclusive evidence, that Charity Harger (John's daughter and wife of John Picklesimer) died before 11 Oct 1822. Consequently, the Anna Beckelshymer (wife of John), who lived in Jackson County, IN in 1820, Lawrence County, IN in 1830 and Fulton County, IL thereafter, could not have been the same person as Charity Harger, i.e., Charity Ann Harger. John could have remarried after the death of his first wife, or he may be a completely other John Beckelhymer from the one who married Charity Harger in Franklin County, VA (some researchers record that John and Anna Beckelhymer were married in Philadelphia, PA). I was pretty excited by this find. I hope you all find it interesting! John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com P.S. I also found the will of Melcher Waggoner (husband of Elizabeth Beckelhymer, daughter of John, Sr). I will post this to the mailing list after I have transcribed it.
