Hi, Cheryl: Here is some of my Behymer Kansas info, but I don't have any recent 1900s stuff, so there still could be a connection, if you could backtrack a bit more. Solomon Behymer (1819-1917) married Nancy Wagner (abt 1818-1875) Their children: Francis Marion Behymer, b. 1840 Andrew Behymer, b. 1842 Nancy Behymer, b. 1843 James Madison Behymer, b. 1845 Oliver Perry Behymer, 1848 Delilah Behymer, b. 1849 Emmaline Behymer, b. 1852 Mary Elizabeth Behymer, b. 1854 Malinda Leanah Behymer, b. 1856 Solomon John Behymer, b. 1860 They were all born in Ohio, except Solomon John was born in Arkansas (I can't figure out why they went to Ark. as they were only there a very short time. Something to do with the Civil War, maybe?) >From the info that I have James, Oliver, Delilah, Emmaline and Mary as well as the father all lived in Kansas at some time. This was when they were adults and the father was widowed and lived at various times with different children. Of the boys: James Madison married Amanda Hulse. In 1885 according to a decennial Census of Lindsborg, McPherson Co., KS: Behymer, J.M., 39 A.L., 33 Jennie, 12 Wilthie, 9 Rettie, 8 Oswald J., 5 Gilmore, 4 Earle, 2 The last four children were all born in Kansas. We visited Lindsborg, Kansas 2 years ago. It is a charming little Swedish town. Another thing that baffles me is that at the time the Behymers lived there it was almost entirely Swedish. This family is not Swedish and must have been out of place there. James Madison eventually settled in Eastern Washington with some of his family. I have located a grgrgrandson there. James divorced his wife. Oliver Perry Behymer was living in McPherson Co., KS in 1917. He had the following children: Charles (1900 & 1910 census living in Hayes, Reno Co., KS) Reuben Harry Carrie (1900 census in McPherson Co., KS) Dea Leo Delilah Behymer married Andrew Curtis. They lived and raised their children in McPherson Co., KS and are buried there. Mary Behymer married Wm. Thomas Davis. They lived in Trego Co., KS for a few years where a couple children were born. Then moved west to Washington. This is my line. All for now. Let me know if you discover a connection.
