1. Re: Communications....
2. John Tippet
3. Sallye: I'm still here and everything is OK. Thanks for inquiring. Actually, I have been working on my web page, and should be publishing an update later this afternoon. I will be adding the 1820 to 1840 census returns, Behymers in the Military, 3 new transcribed wills (Jacob Behymer, William Robb and Henry Slingluff) and some marriage records/bonds for some Ohio and Virginia counties. I didn't get the information on Benjamin in Fountain County, IN and would love to have it or anything you find on the Rardin Cemetery. BTW: I found a bit of information in the deeds that I have been methodically going through (thanks to a contribution from Cliff Trimble). I know you said you had already done that but sometimes another set of eyes picks up on something that may have been overlooked. This one is dated 1 May 1814. In it, John and Levi B. Hymer and Chapman Archer are listed as legal heirs of John B. Hymer, deceased with John and Levi selling land to Chapman Archer. The interesting part is that the signatures at the bottom of the page are as follows: John BeckelsHymer and Levi BHymer. The John Beckelshymer who ended up in Fulton County, IL always went by Beckelshymer, so I think this is circumstantial evidence that he was Levi's brother. I wonder if John, Jr may have been married to someone prior to Barbara Weddle and had a son named John? Had you seen this deed? Susan Debrunner has graciously sent me a contribution as well with which to order another 10 microfilms. I think the item above indicates the importance of going through these deeds one more time. One last thing: I received in the mail yesterday, the military records on several Behymers that enlisted in the War of 1812 (including the John and Levi indicated above) that I had ordered from the National Archives. They consist only of a couple of pages each at most and indicate the date of enlistment and discharge, muster rolls for pay, etc. The part that I was most encouraged by was that I had included a copy of the index cards which I had looked up at the Santa Monica LDS family history center, along with the National Archives form, so it was not so easy for them to just return the form to me indicating that they couldn't find anything. I plan now on sending them the stuff they sent me on John to see if with that they can now find a widow's pension record on him. Regards... 1. Re: [Fwd: Aaron Behymer Journal]
2. Merle, My understanding is that Aaron Behymer's Journal is now located at the Huntington library in San Marino, CA. I have not gone out there to check it out, and I believe they will only let you view it in the library. I have a lot of Aaron's journal in my files, but as far as I know he said they went south and west in Virginia, and thru the pass into Kentucky. You might call the operator to see if you could speak to someone in the Library and maybe they can photocopy it all. I don't think anyone of the Behymer researchers ever got all of it. Hope this helps you. If there is anything further I can do to help, please email me. Sallye Gundy Martin

3. Went to the LDS Center this weekend, and one of the things I found was a tax list from Boutetourt Co., VA, from 1782. Wife's name is in parentheses. These are lands owned by Picklesimers, I suppose??, only listed as Picklesimon (is this yet another variation on our name)? Thought it was interesting, although I suspect some researchers who have been at this much longer than I have already found these. It listed the following: Picklesimon, Abraham (Christiana) B DB3-117 12-11-1782, 530, wtrs.Back Ck., Rke.R. from John Henry Picklesimon, Jacob B SR(1774-1808)132 11-17-1782, 250, Back Ck., Rke. R. 2. In a message dated 99-01-30 01:23:50 EST, you write: << Hi I am looking for any information on the Beckleheimer family. My great grandfather was Moses Levi Beckleheimer (1870-1932). He was married to Cordeila Spencer (1879-1961). They had six daughters together. One in which is my grandmother Edna Beckleheimer Sumner, who is now 91 years old,she says her grandfather name was Levi Beckleheimer and grandmother name was Elizabeth. But that is all I have to go on. Hi Stephanie, Levi and Elizabeth Smith Lasley married in 1884 but they were living together in 1860 Montgomery Co. Census and had a son by then named Henry Edmundson Beckelhimer. Levi gave Elizabeth some land around this time and it seems to me to be for security since they couldn't marry until 1884. Levi was married first to Artimissa Ferguson and second to Nancy Ann King Newman. They married in 1841 and Nancy would'nt give Levi a divorce so when she finally died Levi married Elizabeth. Henderson Beckelhimer was a son of Levi and Artimissa's and he's my ancestor. He moved to the property in Raleigh Co. WV that Levi originally bought. Henderson named one of his son's Levi Harrison Beckelhimer and that was my gt. grandfather. The website that Twila mentioned of John Tippet's has our ancestors listed. Descendancy Narrative My Way Good luck Deanna Holm I know my great grandfather Moses Levi Beckleheimer was injured when he was young and was crippled the rest of his life. Louise Adams, May 31, 1947 Waverly, NE I was told that Catherine Melvina is the one who signed the death certificate for REBECCA, her mother, stating the following. born Jan 25, 1825 IN died Aug 20, 1915 at Layton Ave, Bethany, NE Parents: John Beckelhymer b. VA Anna Henry b. VA died of malignant tumor lived at present resident for 10 years; lived in State for 20-21 years Certificate signed by Mrs. J. W. Wilson of Bethany, dau - Catherine; Place of Burial: Havelock Undertaker: Castle Roper & Maithus of Lincoln, NE I tried to get death certificate on Jesse, but they could not find one. As for Jesse's parents...what proof do we have that he was a son of John & Charity (Harger) Beckelhymer? According to the Harger will, Charity was dead before 1822...so we couldn't find a census report on her. Did you ever find a birth certificate for Jesse? I didn't. There was also a marriage shown for a Martin Beckelhymer in Fulton, IL. Do you know anything about him? Was he possibly a brother to Jesse? In John Harger's will, he gave his son-in-law John Beckelhymer $1. If there had been children of this marriage, isn't it odd he didn't show them as heirs in his will? Hope this gives you some data for your file. Sallye

1. Beckleheimer family of Montgomery Co
2. Hi I am looking for any information on the Beckleheimer family. I know my great grandfather Moses Levi Beckleheimer was injured when he was young and was crippled the rest of his life. I also know that Cordelia Spencer Beckleheimer mother was last name Leslie (from England) that married a Spencer. I am searching to find any information on the Beckleheimer family. If anyone has any information at all please let me know Thank you- Stephanie Sumner Dodd Im4asmile@aol.com
