John, your work is great! Thank you so much for sharing. I am having difficulty in deciphering your family genealogy format in understanding the sequence from one family to another. Don't want to sound ungrateful, but Is there a way that you could format the information so that would be a little plainer. If tabs could be used to place under specific families, that would be nice. If not, don't worry about it. Just thought I would ask. Another question concerns the Surnames in your files compared to Billy Bob's. Yours are Becklehymers, but his has different spellings and variations. How is the correct name spelling determined? Thanks again for your help. robert ----- Original Message ----- From: John Tippet <johndoetippet@csi.com> To: <BEHYMER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 06, 1999 10:01 PM Subject: Web Page Update > Fellow Behymer researchers: > > I have been on a break from Behymer research for the last several months > working on other lines, but have decided to get back in the hunt for the > elusive Behymer. > > To that end, I just posted an update to my web page today. Fellow Behymer researchers: If any of you have tried to access my web page recently which is located at: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohnDoeTippet/ then you have probably experienced: (1) It takes a long time to load the various files because they are so big. This is worse on slower computers. (2) As a couple of people on this list have informed me, the links from the index of people and places page back to the descendancy narrative is not working (a page not found error message occurs). Regarding (1), I am happy to report that I have found a new feature of my genealogy program (TMG) that will allow each generation to be stored as a separate html file (each linked together), making the individual files quite a bit smaller than they would otherwise be. Of course, generation 6 will still be the largest file, but the situation will not be nearly so bad as it is now. Also, currently the source index file is unnecessarily large, do to each reference having a unique endnote number resulting in a long string of "ibids." This resulted from the fact that I had recently upgraded to a new version of TMG which had unique endnote numbers as the default. Fortunately, this feature can be turned off so that a common source is only referenced once. Regarding (2), this I believe is a bug in the new version of TMG in that the index file is missing the .htm extension on the files that it is trying to reference. This should go away when I implement the solution indicated in (1). Thats the good news. The bad news is that I've got to pay the bills this weekend, so I will not be able to remedy this situation just yet. I hope to post the update next weekend. Regards... John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com

Looking for any info anyone might have on Abraham Wilson Picklesimer. We have established a Civil War link, but that's about all. Nephew is hoping to do school history project on ancestors who fought in the Civil War. Thanks!!
Fellow Behymer researchers: I have been on a break from Behymer research for the last several months working on other lines, but have decided to get back in the hunt for the elusive Behymer. To that end, I just posted an update to my web page today. Point your browser to: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohnDoeTippet/ The Behymer file now has 1,071 Behymer descendants posted through 6 generations from the common ancester, John George Beckelhymer, the Elder of the COB. This represents about a 20% increase from the last version (approximately 200 more names). Most of the additions are for descendants of Samuel, Jacob and Solomon. Because the file is so large it takes quite a long time to load. At some point in the near future, I will find a way to break the file up into more manageable chunks. Until then, this will have to do. Probably the most controversial change is that I have decided to show Abraham, Jr as the son of John, Sr, rather than Abraham, Sr as in the previous post. The file contains the rationale for this decision. I welcome comments, corrections, additions, etc. on any of the data contained therein. Regards... John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com
Twila, Thank you for the message and for posting my line on the list. I think I am already subscribed, but when I sent the line I sent it from my office computer and so I was not recognized as a member. My mistake. As a result of your posting the message Ron Dupuy has already been in touch with me. Thanks again. Allan
Joseph All I found on Abraham Wilson Picklesimer married Jane McCall, and they were in Henderson, NC and Macon.NC and he was a son of Abraham. You might contact John Pickelsimer at JPick323@aol.com. He is working on most of the Pickelsimer family. Good luck Sallye
There is a John Behymer buried in the Behymer Private Cemetery on 10-mile Road in Pierce Township, Clermont County, OH. The tombstone reads: d. 12 Mar 1861 - 39y, 8m, 4d. That would make him born on 8 Jul 1821. Does anyone know who his parents were? Is he the son of Jesse and Lydia? John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com

Hi, researchers! It's been great to see the renewed interest the past couple of days. It's always good to remind each other of the lines you are descended from. Would you believe that we now have 81 list members? Pretty amazing isn't it? I think we are approaching our 3rd year of existence as a group of folks researching our roots to the Bechtelheimer family together. If you've been away for the summer, welcome back! Let's continue to post the individual lines that we are interested in. And you new folks, jump right in! Maybe it's the right time for new discoveries about our origins. Twila Listowner
Elizabeth: We used to have a couple Beymer researchers on this list, but don't know if they are still with us. To date we have not found a connection between the names Beymer and Behymer. There are many variations, but there's been no evidence that this is one of them. Are there any Beymers out there that could respond to Elizabeth? Allan: Thanks for submitting your line to our list. I forwarded it on to the Behymer list. It didn't make it through on its own, because you are not a member of the list. I encourage you to subscribe. Our list has been very quiet this summer. I'm not sure why. Hopefully things will pick up soon. We have been very active in the past and there is alot of Behymer information out there among this group. Your name is a new variation. I don't think we've seen a name like Elijah Bequel Hymer. Interesting. I do believe we have another Hymer on the list though. Welcome and thanks for the info. I hope we can be of help to you. Twila Listowner Hymer.
