Keith ...and Janie.... Nathaniel and Anna resided in Clermont Co, OH and they are buried in Amelia 100F Cemetery. Nathaniel is thought to be a son of John and Elizabeth (Rinker) Beckelhymer of Franklin Co, VA. John (Lewis?) Behymer died Jan 21, 1874 in Decker, Richland Co, IL and is buried at the Smith-Martin Cemetery there. Jane died ther Dec 20, 1873, and is buried with John. They had 13 children. As for Robert and Ann (Behymer) Gordon, all I have is that they had 2 children, Hiram b 1847 and Mary b. 1848, Indiana. county not known. There could have been more. A lot of the family were in Indiana, however some of the family later went to MO. (Boone). I note also, TX and TN. If there is anything specific you wanted to know, please let me hear from you. John, I must've missed something in the beginning of this discussion. What is it you're waiting for to arrive that costs and a few are contributing to? Deanna
When I was at the LDS genealogical library in Salt Lake City last July, I xeroxed all of the early probate records that were available there on microfilm for Clermont County, OH. These included the following: William Becklehymer Will 21 Sep 1842 (written), 14 Nov 1842 (probated), P.W. E-331 John Beckleshymer Estate, 16 Apr 1813 (written), P. W. Their response was that the total number of pages was 188, some of which were light, making them difficult to copy. The copying and research fee was 50 cents per page or $94.00 plus postage for the lot. They would only be able to make the copies in between getting their normal work done, so it would take some time to finish them all. $100 is pretty steep for one individual, so I was wondering if others on this list might be interested and might be willing to contribute some money towards this effort. Of course, there is no guarantee of what we may find. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Any takers? John Charles Tippet JohnDoeTippet@csi.com P.S. I would consider mailing out copies of the stuff that I have already xeroxed, time permitting, if anyone is interested (and is willing to pay the expenses). P.P.S. John, I would even go so far as to go half with you. I was about to get the other papers on my John anyway, and if I could get copies of all, would like to eventually recopy and send a copy to Clermont Co Gen. Soc. besides including copies in our So. Thought some of you might be interested in this book company. They have an extensive collection of genealogical books, county histories, etc for sale. They have a print on demand system, so it takes 2 to 3 months to fill an order. The books aren't cheap, but if there is a book that you just must have in your library, they are worth checking out. I notice they have two Clermont County, OH histories for sale, e.g. They also have a web site: www.higginsonbooks.com which includes a searchable database of their offerings.
