Regarding Beebe lookups - or any other help/suggestions anyone has! Circumstantial evidence indicates that my 3xgr grandfather was Paschal/Paschal Beebe. He was on the Barnard, Windsor Co., Vermont Census in 1840. He was in the Troy, Rennselaer Co., NY census in 1850 and 1860. He remarried in Rennselaer Co about 1845. He *****MIGHT***** have been in Ohio between 1840 and 1845. (There is a cryptic obit that says "Elizabeth, wife of Pascal P. Beebe, died in Ohio" - but I have no idea who Elizabeth was.) He bought and sold land in and around Barnard and Pomfret, Windsor Co, VT. with a "Josiah Beebe" in the middle 1830s. I once thought this might have been Josiah Baldwin Beebe, but I can't find any connection; however, I don't know of any other Josiah's who were in Vermont at the time. According to the census data, he could have been born in either NY or VT, and his birth would likely have been sometime between 1800 and 1810. Other than the fact that he seems to be the only Pascal/Paschal Beebe - of any spelling- to walk this continent, I know nothing more about him. I think - and this is pure unadulterated guessing - that Pascal lived for several years in or around Windsor Co. The man I think was his son was Henry Brace Beebe - born Barnard, 1839. A Brace Jones lived for years in Barnard. Maybe Elizabeth was Brace Jones' daughter? If this connection doesn't hold, I am out of theories. At this point, I have no idea where to even start searching, since I have been unable to locate any information on him prior to 1834. Does anyone have other information or suggestions?
