Dear Sharon: Does any of your information include a Deborah Beebe, b. 1755, probably in NJ , m. Josiah Cafferty/McCafferty and moved to Union, NY where she died in 1809. You mention Chenango, which is not far from Union, so I wonder if there could be any connections. I have never succeeded in finding connections to Deborah anywhere, but I am always hopeful! These are my lines as well. I have 8 generations of BEEBE lines before I daughter-out w/ Naomi BEEBE b. 1/5/1767 New London, CT m. JOHN KING abt. 1790 New London, CT. They had 11 children, all born in Waterford, CT. I'd like to correspond w/ anyone researching the CT BEEBE lines. At this time I'm not looking for any further information on the BEEBEs but I'm always willing to share what I do have. I have looking for information on the husband of Naomi BEEBE, JOHN KING. He was b. sometime between 1750-1765, place unknown. JOHN KING has been a real stumbling block for me. Other surnames related to my BEEBE lines include, but are not limited to; KEENEY, ROGERs, DAYTON, STEVENS/STEPHENS, KING, TUBBS, LEACH, SAWYER, FOUNTAIN, DANIELS, CROCKER, WHEELER, BROCKWAY, TOZER/TOZIER, HOBSON ALL between 1550 and 1767 in England and CT...a very little NY information as well. Hello Beebe listers, I would like to introduce myself to you all. I am Sharon, your new list administrator. I took over these duties this past week. I am not new at administrating lists for Rootsweb, having done it for a couple of years now. I tend to be easy-going in my administrating duties, but do expect everyone to comply with Rootswebs rules and regs. These are stated in the AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) of Rootsweb at the following URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/aup.html . My few expectations of everyone are the following: 1) Stay on topic (in this case, the Beebe surname) 2) no flaming - play nice :-) 3) Make any complaints about the list to me personally and not on the list. 4) Absolutely, positively NO posting about anything to do with viruses - no warnings, NOTHING!! This one I am a stickler about. If there is a virus problem that you believe has to do with the list, send me a private email about it. Now about me: My connection to the Beebe line is through my 2nd great-grandmother, Julia Ann Beebe, who was born in Morgan, Ashtabula Co., Ohio. She was the daughter of Moses O. Beebe and Amelia Van Tassel of New York. Moses was the son of Nathan Beebe. I do have quite a bit about this line of Beebe's. I have access (for a few more weeks) to the various Beebe genealogies that have been published and are on file at the Library of Congress. If there is something you would like looked up, please let me know and I'll do my best. I can also do pension records of Beebe Civil War soldiers for the next few weeks. I do not make any charge for my lookups, but if there are fees I must pay on your behalf, I do expect to be reimbursed. Sharon List Admin, BEEBE surname
Welcome as the new List Administrator. I am related to the Beebes through my mother Beulah Eileen Beebe, Frank Wallace Beebe, William Wallace Beebe, Daniel P. Beebe (born, 26 Sep 1809 in New York and died Dec 1881 in Kankakee, IL.) I currently have nothing further back but my real problem is my Grandfather Frank Wallace Beebe. He apparently left Paullina, O'brien Co., IA shortly after my mother was born in 1910. I was always told that he died of some wide spread illness going around, but his name appeared in his father's obituary as living in or around Omaha, NE. in 1924. Any suggestions? I have posted this request previously on the BEEBE-L list.
Okay, I started this vague thread out and now I may be changing it. I got my name info from a grandmother who is turning 94 this month. Some days her memory is better than others. It is possible she had it wrong. It could be Oma and Julia were sisters and their last name was BEEBE and Oma married Jay SALMON. The girls were born in the late 1800's does that connect with anyone? It is nice to see the Beebe list with so much activity. I am looking for any information I can find about Justin Eugene Beebe and Bella Beebe. They are my great-grandparents. Any information about The Beebe Family in Wisconsin would also be appreciated. I have a very large family and It's name is in no danger of disappearing anytime soon. Thank You! Brad Beebe
Hi Does anyone have any info on a Benjamin Beebe who married a Mary Jane Craddock sometime after l850 but before the l900's. Hugs Betty
HI All Was glad to see the BEEBE list so busy, I had forgotten that I was subscribed to it. Now my question. Does any one have information on a Fanny Beebe who was married to Timothy Culver. Good Morning All, My connection to the BEEBEE line right now is spiderweb thin, but I am hoping you can help me strengthen that connection. I am trying to find the ancestry of Julia May SALMON/SALMAN, my 94 year old grandmother says that Julia had a grandmother BEEBE. I told you it was thin. I do know that the BEEBEs are connected to either Julia or her husband Joseph Byron GRAY aka JB or Billy in some way because of documents I looked at years ago and now need to go back and find again. I remember seeing the name BEEBE on several items. Here's what I do know: 1. Julia M. SALMON/SALMAN was born in 1884, possibly in IL, she died in 1974 in Creek County, OK. She married JB GRAY. They had one daughter who died in infancy. JB died in 1964. Both Julia and JB are buried in Greenhill Cemetery in Sapulpa, Creek County, OK. I don't know where the infant is buried. 2. Julia had a brother who either went by or was named Jay. Jay married a lady named Oma (possibly short for Oklahoma ?) I believe Oma died between 1956 and 1964. It is rumored that Jay may have lived in KS, OK, TX and AZ. No proof on anything but the OK at this point. 3. Some how a lady named Bernice BRADLEY of TX ties to this line as well. I know she was in TX about 1947, BRADLEY is probably her married name. 4. Wilford Jennings SULSAR aka Jack was a newborn infant when he was placed in the care of either the BEEBE or SALMON/SALMAN family. His mother had died due to complictions of his birth and his father Gilbert Alonzo SULSAR couldn't raise him. That was in Lincoln County, OK in 1900-1901. When Julia married JB little Jack went with her. I know Jack worked in TX for awhile and he married twice, Connie Clarkson and Felicia (BREWER) BOYKIN. If any of this ties to your BEEBE line please let me know. Thank you, Jan in OK
I'm looking for information on the Beebe Orchard Co., at Beebe, Washington (state), on the Columbia River. ANYTHING would be a great help. Thanks, Barbara B.
