JD IN MY COLLECTION OF MATERIALS I FOUND A LETTER FROM EDWARD BEDSOLE 738 N NELSON STREET -7,ARLINGTON,VA22203 WHO STATES THAT THE NAME BEDSOLE CAME FROM BLETSOE.BASED ON THAT ASSUMPTION A WILLIAM BLETSOE SETTLED IN JAMES CITY CO.VA IN1639, A WILLIAM BLETSOE ARRIVED IN 1643 AND A MATTHEW BLETSOE ARRIVED IN164 1 AND SETTLED IN ISLE OF WRIGHT JUST WEST OF THE CITY OF NORFOLK THIS MAY HELP.
