Jean, thank you for your email regarding John Bedsole and John Bedsaul. I'm not sure what the mixup is. It seems a possibility that , since our John Bedsole was also married to Sarah Brown, somehow they got mixed up with John Bedsaul and Sarah Brown, but I don't know how. Also, I don't see how the stuff about John Bedsole being "adopted" by an Elisha Bedsaul was started. Also, the story goes that Elisha (I have no idea which Elisha) left an equal part of his estate to this John (again, I have no idea which John). But I don't see how Peggy and I got all the information about John going to Chestnut Creek, Va. and thats where Elisha lived.. Its wierd to say the least. Anyway, I'll keep looking and from now on, I'll start documenting where, when and who I got info. from on this John. Problem is, we just get bits and pieces from several sources and try to put them together, which is what you have to do in the absence of documentation.The biggest thing that makes me believe this stuff, but not HOW, is that back in those days, people moved and changed names, or had them changed without their knowledge.
