James, We must be talking about two different John BEDSAULS. I have Elisha, Sr's father as Jacob BEDSAUL, m. April 4, 1730. Their son, Elisha BEDSAUL, Sr., b. abt. 1730, Burlington, NJ or PA. He m. Mary EDWARDS on Sept 16, 1751 at the Cane Creek MM, NC. Their son, John BEDSAUL, b. after 1751, Fincastle County, VA., m. Sarah BROWN on June 9, 1774, Orange County (Now Alamance Co), VA. Their son, Daniel BEDSAUL, b. 1778, m. Catherine EDWARDS abt. 1798, probably in Carroll or Grayson County. Their son, John Lowry BEDSAUL, b. 1802, Grayson County, VA, m. Mary C. BACON on October 27,1827, Washington County, TN. Their daughter, Sarah M. BLEDSOE, b. March 15, 1844, m. Thomas Edison BEVERAGE on Dec 6,1863. (John L. changed the family name to BLEDSOE, after their move to AR around 1850). Sarah M. was my 2nd gr grandmother. If anyone would like a more detailed outline tree of my BEDSAULS, I will be happy to send it along in an e-mail. My John BEDSAUL was born after 1851, in Fincastle, VA. And would have been too young,(or non-existent) to have been listed in NJ records. Now, there is definitely a mystery here as to who the other John is, and how he related to this John. We will just have to dig away until we find some answers. What I am going to do is start a seperate line for the John you mention in my FTM, that way, I can gather information on him in such a way that I can see where I am going with it. Anything that you can share about that John would be very much appreciated! Thanks, Jean At 10:25 AM 12/29/99 -0500, you wrote: >Jean, very interesting thing you reported.
