Good Morning. Was Thomas BEDSOLE, Jr., the husband of Charlotte "Lottie" English, the same as Thomas BEDSOLE, Jr., the son of Rebecca JONES? These are the notes I have on him: =========================================================== 1810 lived Bladen County 1812 probably in NC troops in war of 1812 1820 lived Bladen County 1825 acc to a writeup by Tatum Bedsole of Hacoda, AL 26 Oct 1944, he was of Dutch descent and Lottie was Irish They lived on the Cape Fear River near Wilmington,NC in 1825; moved to Lowndes Co., AL, by 1830; later moved to Coffee County, Al about the time of the Creek uprising(second one) (Banks McLaurin's notes) 1830 Lowndes Co., AL 1840 Dale County, Al 1850 she lived in Coffee County, AL with son Travis and grandaughter Ann Umphries, near Sessoms. ============================================================ For whatever it's worth, my John Lowry BEDSAUL married first a Polly JONES on April 10, 1823, in Washington County, TN. He secondly married my 3rd gr grandmother on Oct 27, 1827, in Washington County, TN. I figure it's likely that the first wife, Polly, died in Childbirth. It appears that John & Mary's first son, Isaac, was born in 1826, before their marriage. Perhaps John quickly married Mary C. BACON, to provide a mother for his mother-less child? Thanks, Jean Cuevas
