Are there any records for Bedford Grammar School - lists of former pupils ? I am looking for some record that Charles Cranfield Grant bn 31 Dec 1856 at Langford , Bedfordshire attended Bedford Grammar School. Family oral history says so ..... but are there school records to confirm this ? Below is an excerpt from a family essay........ "Eldest son [above] attended Bedford Grammar School and was apprenticed to sail in the Merchant Marine after schooling and served in various ships." Where would he have been apprenticed and how long a period would this have been for ? Are there records to search re this training ? Any guidance welcomed. Regards Aileen
