Hi Richard, your interest in the Larkins family of Biggleswade has caught my eye. Some years ago there was a suggestion that my ancestress Elizabeth Wagstaff was daughter of George & Elizabeth Larkins of Biggleswade. Not finding the reputed information either in the Parish Registers/Bishops Transcripts of Biggleswade, this has always been an unsolved problem. I am not too sure how I can help but to contact me, and let's see what we can come up with. Professional research in the 1960s has provided me with much information on the Larkins family of Biggleswade which may be of help to you. This couple had children who included Elizabeth, baptised 1811, and William baptised 1812. The latter two were found in the 1861 census in Biggleswade and I have positively linked them to George's son James LARKINS (baptised 28/10/1838 in Biggleswade). > > > > I am now struggling with the birth/baptism of William LARKINS in the latter part of the 18th century as there appears to be alternative parents for him - either George and Elizabeth or Charles and Sarah. I have also found a possible William LARKINS in the 1851 census but, as yet, there is insufficient information to either rule him in or out as George LARKINS father. > > > > I am therefore wondering whether there might be someone else researching the LARKINS name who might have found out more than myself and who would be prepared to assist me in some way? > > > > Regards > > > > Richard > > > ==== BEDFORD Mailing List ==== > When REPLYING to a message sent to the list decide if this is information that all the list members would like to know about or whether it would only be of interest to the individual you are replying to. > >
