So there is some problem. I wonder if someone could find the couple in 1841 Census although I'm not sure if London is available. Wandsworth is on the southern side of the Thames and so is quite possibly listed as Surrey, but is now classified as Greater London. There are quite a number of Hine families in Wandsworth in 1861, but no obvious Charles + Elizabeth. On Free BMD there is a possible death for Eliza in 1857 and for Charles in 1863, but these would need proving. I could not find any BDM events for Charles + Elizabeth or their children from 1790-1850 on IGI. I wonder if Doreen has any other information on children possibly from 1851 Census. Interestingly the HINE + BENNETT link occurs again in Dec 1856 with the marriage of Frederick HINE to Charlotte BENNETT in Kensington. It is possibly a case of second or third cousins marrying.
