Hello everyone, This is my first message to the list. Does anyone have a copy of the 1841 census of Harrold, Bedforshire please? If so, would they kindly look for Mary CLAYSON for me? In 1851 she declares she is 60, a widow, a Laundress and born in Weedon, Nths. She is living with her daughter Betsy age 15 who is a lace maker. In 1861 she is still living in Harrold age 68 and a Washerwoman. Betsy has married and her widowed son Charles and his four children are living with her. By 1871 she is no longer there. The baptisms of some of the children are on the IGI as controlled extracts (member submissions should be treated with great suspicion) where the parents are shown as Joseph and Mary. A Joseph Clayson age 47 was buried in Harrold on 26 Dec 1835.
