Hi Everyone, Does anyone have access to the marriage registers from Sandy Please? Also can anyone tell me if the register would have the grooms parents / fathers name on it? I'm desperate to find out who are the parents of my 2nd GGrandfather are. He was born in Gamblingay Cambs abt. 1809 and I have come to a brick wall there. His name was John Warren, he married Margaret Lyles on July 18th 1834 in Sandy (acc to LDS). With regards Pat

Pre 1837 marriage entries in parish registers did not show fathers' names (usually!) Have you checked the baptism index on the Cambs FHS website at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html ? Try Wareing rather than Warren - it might be worth further investigation!
