In the course of tracing my Woodman ancestors, I found that Henry Woodman(1669-1714) of Wing married Agnes Vere(?-1750) of Leighton Buzzard, daughter of Thomas Vere and Sara King. I then found the will of Rebecca King of Leighton Buzzard, widow [March 1700 PCC Prob11/454]. Rebecca King was the mother of Sara King and grandmother of Agnes Vere. There is no mention of Rebecca's deceased husband in this will(dated 1698) and I have not been able to find a baptismal record for Sara. Does anyone know of this Rebecca King (possibly born 1620s) or the name of her husband? Sara King was probably born abt. 1743 and I don't know of any siblings, so at a very rough guess, Rebecca and the unknown Mr. King may have been married about 1640ish in Leighton Buzzard or Potsgrove. Sara King and Thomas Vere were married in Potsgrove in 1664. Also be delighted to hear from anyone who has Vere/Veere or Woodman in their family tree, especially Woodman with a first or middle name, Vere/Veere/Very.
