    3. Hello All Two queries for you. 1) Does anyone know of this lady? 1881 Census Elizabeth SAWFORD Head W Female 75 Glapthorn, Northampton, England Mary E. May DANIELS Grand Daur U Female 14 Bolnhurst, Bedford, England Needlewoman Source Information: Dwelling No 6 Almshouse Census Place Milton Ernest, Bedford, England Family History Library Film 1341387 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 1615 / 48 Page Number 3 I'm presuming she's been in ME some time to be entitled to an almshouse. My ancestor Charlotte Sawford from Knotting married Wm Cox and settled in ME where she died in the 1840s. The would have been around Elizabeth's age in 1881 so might have been related to her, maybe even her sister in law. 2) May I draw your attention to the 1851 census for Milton Ernest (HO107/1751/175A) where William Cox aged 78 is described as a pensioner? How on earth did an Ag Lab get to be a pensioner in 1851? A pension from whom? Looking forward to hearing from you. Pat (Burke)
