Listing the little I know of my Bedforshire ancestry. MORRIS line Samuel b.c.1795 Pavenham Parents William b. c.1761 & Ann Levitt – I think. Samuel married Mary Dennis – date unknown Later farmed in Kempston Son Charles – b. c.1835 Kempston – still looking for siblings Married Lucy SMITH Kempston 1856, Charles constable at Dunstable at time. Son Frank Charles Fitzowen b. Tilbook 1.3.1857, father constable there, later possibly both baker & an asylum attendant. Other children – Samuel b.1859, Sidney John b. 1862, possibly Charles 1863. Lucy SMITH b1831 daughter of Richard Smith b1801 & Lucy BRITTAIN (b.c. 1800 at Meppershall Bdf ) Richard & Lucy married at Campton Dec 1819. Children were Thomas, Elizabeth, John, Richard, Lucy, Samuel, Joseph. Grandfather Frank Charles Fitzowen Morris' story was that he ran away from home because he hated his step mother. Joined the army, served in India, came to Sydney nSW in November 1885. He never contacted his family again nor told his Australian wife and children the names of his parents, grandparents etc. I have a little guilt for breaking his secret. Certainly not enough guilt to to stop me from continuing the hunt and would welcome any information, suggestions and especially contact with any family connection.
