I have sent the index and this summary of the 1841 census of Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire to Betty. Here is who I believe to be your William Cox.. born approx 1827 he is 14 in the 1841 census and is with his family William Cox is 60 AG lab.. then there is Charlotte who is 30 then there is George 15, William 14, Eliza 12 Eli 10, Hannah 7 Exther 6 and Andrew 3. Hi, Gay has sent 1841 census image for William & Charlotte direct to Betty Lark, and I have sent 1861 image for their son William and wife Dinah. Most of the christenings of children of William & Charlotte appear on IGI. I had just advised Betty to do a parent search. Only Exther (Ester?) is not there. Hannah appears for a marriage record to John Wallis but without parents. There is also an extra child Rachel b1842 after the census. As for the age difference of William (60) & Charlotte (30) who can tell, but you have to remember roundings in 1841. Perhaps William could be 58 and Charlotte 33. One would assume she was older than 15 when her first son was born. If somebody has 1851 access, they might solve the riddle. Peter PS !!
