Hi "Steve" I think it's OK to write to a possible relative, as if they're really not interested they'll just ignore it. Also, even if they aren't interested, they may know someone in their family who is. Always enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope of course. Apart from the garage, there are 6 Inwards in the local phone book, which covers the Luton area and includes Hockliffe and Chalgrave. One of them is G W Inwards who lives at 61 Wingfield Road, Tebworth, which I think is in the parish of Chalgrave, so that's probably a good one to try. I believe the information they have is from some one in Cornwall and as one of my Ancestors moved to Somerset between 1871 and 1881 and remarried down there and as far as I know had one daughter Hannah Inwards.
