Hi Jim Many thanks for this and for all the others. I am fascinated by Edward Sabey's (huge!) bill for one pound three shillings and sevenpence ha'penny. That halfpenny will, I feel bedevil the Overseers' Accounts for months to come! But then, a halfpenny could buy quite a lot of ale at the pub in 1800.
