Kia Ora Dave I haven't hunted back further on the Clarks as it is not my line. Interesting though... I wonder if Favell became Flavell? I have an Issac Flavell who married Esther Wildman at Bletsoe in 1832. Seems all of the population of Beds was related somehow! Hi Marlene, Yes there are a variety of spellings, Favell, Favelle, Flavell, & Ffavell are just 4 I have already come across in my searchings and I am sure there are more. I do have an Isaac Favell, born 1812 in Wilden, not many miles away, I have him married in 1833 to an Esther but no surname. It looks as if you may have added a bit more to my knowledge. I will search the records at Bedford Archives when I am next there and get a copy of the certificate. I can take Isaac back about 10 generations if it is of any interest into the 1500's but no descendents. Hi Dave I'll reply to you personally but my Isaac Flavell married Esther Wildman 16 October 1832 in Bletsoe and had 7 children that I am aware of at least 6 in Riseley. I have a copy of the marriage cert. Esther's mother was a Fairey hence my interest. Part of Isaac & Esther's family emigrated to Canada and I have a contact with that family!
