Reg I see what you mean. Beds Family History Society does have a record of monumental inscriptions but not of Tempsford:0( and it would be unlike they were there anyway.. Often, the records for Methodists and other 'non-con' are pretty good because they were not lazy & falling over themselves for the gentry like some vicars...so it may be worth contacting the Bedford archvist archivist to let you know what records there are? cathy
Cathy, Thanks for your helpful comments about Tempsford burials. I've since learned that the Methodists did maintain graveyards of their own, in Yorks at least, so perhaps in Beds too. Shall now look to contact the Beds Archivist. Had a look at the Bedford Archives website which you passed on to someone else, but drew a blank.
