Hello fellow DENNIS descendents! I believe that one of my gggg grandmothers was an Ann DENNIS who married William FRESHWATER (1747-1797) by licence on 12 September 1768 in Blumham. She was buried in Great Barford on 2 March 1786. Have you any information that might help me? I can find no record of an Ann DENNIS being baptised in Blunham in the 1730s or 1740s. Or, could she have been the widow of Henry DENNIS by whom she had already had seven children in the 1740s and 1750s, concluding with Rachel in 1761. However, I cannot find any record of Henry's death or burial in Blunham either. Ann DENNIS and William FRESHWATER had seven children, of whom only two appear to have survived infancy, which in itself might be a pointer towards an older mother. I should be most grateful for any information that anyone might have on this, or any, Ann DENNIS.
