I wondered if James, the father of Louisa chr 1812 might have been your Louisa's elder brother. James and Sarah produced a succession of children in Potton, and they appear in the 1841 census in Potton. He gave his age as 50 in 1841 but I cannot see his baptism either. If you're really stuck, as you appear to be, it might be worthwhile trying to follow James on the offchance that he is Louisa's brother - naming his daughter after his sister? I see John and Louisa's children were all baptised in the primitive methodist church in Cambridge. Possibly the Carters were also non-conformist which is why their baptisms don't appear in Potton parish register.
