    3. There were several non-conformist chapels in Toddington and still are more than one I believe. Methodists were particularly strong in more than one chapel - the records are now mostly held at the Bedfordshire and Luton Record Office at Bedford. Toddington was in the Dunstable Circuit for Wesleyan Methodists and many records will be found in a book for the Dustable Circuit. I think there was also a Baptist Chapel and Salvation Army at some periods. Also more Methodist Chapels in the surrounding villages some only 2-3 miles from Toddington. Very few records (and parish registers) remain in hands of the original churches that produced them since there is a law that requires them to be surrendered. Most of the early records are copied to the I.G.I. which is online. Hope this helps.
